From the moment I arrived at the groom’s family home, I knew this day would be something truly special. The house buzzed with excitement as both families came together in a joyful blend of cultures and traditions. The bride, radiant in her Chinese bridal attire, shared heartfelt laughter with her bridesmaids, while the groom prepared for his big day surrounded by his loved ones. Capturing these quiet, intimate moments before the festivities began felt like photographing the calm before a vibrant, emotional storm.

At Oakville Legacy Banquet Hall, we began with family and couple portraits before the guests arrived. The golden light filtering through the venue’s large windows created the perfect backdrop for timeless portraits that highlighted the beauty of both their cultures. Soon after, the venue stage was set for a traditional Bengali Hindu wedding ceremony, rich in color and meaning.
The ceremony began with the Bor Jatri, where the groom and his family made a grand entrance. Followed by the Mala Badal which is the symbolic exchange of floral garlands between the couple. The sacred Saptapadi, or seven steps around the fire, marked their lifelong commitment, and the priest’s chants filled the air with spirituality and devotion. Every detail told a story of love that transcended culture.
After the ceremony, the couple changed into elegant evening outfits. Their grand entrance to the reception flowed seamlessly into a magical first dance surrounded by dry ice, creating a dreamy, cloud-like effect. The night continued with heartfelt speeches, energetic performances, and endless laughter.
Documenting this wedding was a privilege — a beautiful reminder of how love bridges traditions, creating something uniquely magical.

So while I am photographing your event, he is able to capture everything on video as well. This package includes the highlight reel, a full run through of the wedding ceremony and the scheduled highlights of the evening wedding reception. All speeches and vows are uncut so you remember every word.
