Boehmer Restaurant
Do you have an introvert and extrovert personality? At weddings, couples can go either or. Some are social butterflies who love getting their photos taken. Others would much rather fill out the paperwork without being the center of attention. I’m personally the latter. I know, I know. As a wedding photographer, I really need to be energetic and outgoing type. And I can make it happen, when I need to. But when I get fellow introverts as wedding couples, I enjoy the event a lot more. So for all those couples who dread walking down the aisle and having everyone looking at you… check out this wedding at Boehmer Restaurant. It’s a great example of how the wedding obligations can be simplified. Thus leaving you with a lot more time to enjoy yourself.
All the events of this wedding involving guests happened at Boehmer Restaurant in Toronto. They had an indoor ceremony within this restaurant. But the entire first half of the day was spent alone with their kids. The bride getting ready with her hair/makeup team. And the groom meeting us in the lobby for the first look. We did their portraits at Trillium Park and outside the Enercare Centre. It was a very cold day and the waterfront wind chill did not help. So there were a lot of breaks and warm-ups along the way.
Reception
After their Civil ceremony, we spent maybe half and hour on their family portraits. They had blended families on both sides. Since the couple wanted to spend more time hanging out with the family on a more social level, we kept the family photos as simple as possible. Beyond that, it was just one big party. They hadn’t seen many of their guests for the last year. So their priority was mingling with them, over doing the love-e dove-e stuff elsewhere. Hey, I love this kind of setup. Candid photography is my specialty. I love going into stealth mode and capturing people without anyone noticing.
