Caledon Valley Estate Barn
Today’s summer wedding at Caledon Valley Estate Barn is where a city boy marries a country girl. In the country, there is a saying: go big or go home. Lindsay & Sean definitely went big for their wedding. This rustic wedding went off without a hitch, and the proof is in the pictures.
This family oriented couple went with a DIY-themed barn wedding. The shabby chic wedding packed plenty of emotion as the couple’s friends and family took place in an unforgettable, heartwarming day. And with the bride’s mom also being her bridesmaid, there was rarely a moment with dry eyes.
Country weddings aren’t always cowboy boots. In this case, it was a Scottish wedding so more of a highland theme. It’s the open air, rustic vibes, and a bride who is ok with her dress getting a little dirty. Aside from the full rustic barn setting at Caledon Valley Estate Barn… they had horses grazing in the background of their ceremony. The oversized alter was a beautiful backdrop for this civil wedding ceremony. We also used it for some family photos after the ceremony.
After the ceremony, the party moved to the reception barn. There were some delays with the reception starting on time. Once the grand entrance, introductions, and first dance was cleared it was already getting a bit dark. So we disappeared with the couple for someone sunset photos. The entire venue was lit up by string lights hanging from the ceiling. These added a beautiful glow to their evening photos. On the whole, it was the perfect ending to this elegant country wedding.
I also photographed their engagement shoot.
