Camp Bellaleo
As a photographer, there are days that feel less like work and more like a gift. Lindsay and Douglas’s micro wedding at Camp Bellaleo was one of those days.
From the moment I arrived, it was clear they had chosen a place that truly mattered to them. As a venue, Camp Bellaleo offered everything they wanted in one beautiful, meaningful setting, allowing their entire wedding day to unfold naturally without rushing or relocating. The calm of the waterfront set the tone as guests gathered for an intimate outdoor ceremony, framed by trees, water, and soft summer light.
Ceremony
One of my favorite moments happened just as the civil ceremony began: their dog proudly trotting down the aisle as the ring bearer. It was joyful, a little unpredictable, and completely them. They exchanged vows with the water behind them and their closest people surrounding them. It was heartfelt, relaxed, and deeply personal.
After the ceremony, we wandered the camp grounds for couple portraits as the sun dipped lower in the sky. The golden sunset wrapped everything in warm light, and those quiet moments together felt like a pause in time. No pressure, no distractions. Just the two of them soaking it all in along the waterfront. Those portraits are some of my favorites from the day because they reflect how present and connected they were.
As evening settled in, the celebration continued under a beautifully tented reception right on the campsite. String lights glowed, laughter echoed, and the atmosphere felt cozy and intentional. Photographing this wedding was a reminder of how powerful small, thoughtful celebrations can be. Lindsay and Douglas created a day that was true to them—and it was an honor to capture every part of it.
