Casa Loma Wedding
As a wedding photographer, Ping & Edward’s wedding day was the kind of celebration that reminds me why I love documenting love stories. One that is rich in tradition, emotion, and breathtaking locations like Casa Loma.
The day began with Ping and Edward getting ready in separate hotel rooms, each surrounded by their closest family and friends. Ping’s room was calm and intimate as she stepped into her traditional Chinese wedding attire. And just down the hall Edward prepared for one of the most entertaining parts of the day: the traditional door games. Laughter echoed through the corridors as he and his groomsmen negotiated, sang, and completed challenges to prove his love . These moments were full of joy and genuine emotion. Pure gold for storytelling through photographs.
Both families then hosted tea ceremonies, a deeply meaningful tradition symbolizing respect, gratitude, and the joining of two families. Capturing these moments, from the offering of tea to the proud smiles of parents and elders. It felt incredibly special and intimate.
Ceremony/Reception
The civil ceremony took place at Casa Loma, a truly stunning castle in the heart of Toronto. With fresh snow falling and winter light wrapping the stone walls, the setting felt straight out of a fairytale. We explored the castle grounds for bridal party, family, and couple portraits. Photos included the grand staircases, towers, and snowy pathways to create timeless images.
The celebration continued at Crown Prince Fine Dining Banquet Hall, where the evening unfolded with a vibrant traditional dragon dance, heartfelt speeches, cake cutting, and an incredible ten-course meal. It was a perfect blend of cultural tradition and modern celebration. An unforgettable day I was honored to document from start to finish.
