Chateau Le Jardin
The venue Chateau Le Jardin is reminiscent of a French mansion. It has thirty foot high ceilings and beautiful lighting. Chateau Le Jardin in Vaughan provides several room options to host a classic-style wedding ceremony and reception. This family-operated venue focuses on great client care, and their food has always been delicious.
Shai and Fabio’s wedding was officially a fusion of two completely different cultures. The bride was Indian while the groom was Italian. Both backgrounds are highly recognized for grand over-the-top weddings. However in this case, the Italian side won. I know I know. Weddings aren’t a competition. But there is no denying the Italian traditions seen here. There was a big family. The group dance with Nona. And an antipasto bar that rivaled most dinners.
Granted the couple was aiming for something a lot simpler. They were such a casual down to earth couple that a grand wedding just wouldn’t fit. And since neither of them was heavily religious, they stripped all those elements away. I was a little surprised when the morning prep for the bride and groom was as peaceful as it was. However, once the wedding started, all bets were off.
They had a relatively large gathering for their civil ceremony. Shai walked down the aisle with her father who gave her away. The words recited during the ceremony revolved around honouring each other’s cultures but focusing on what makes them similar. So instead of having two religious ceremonies, they would create a new faith together. They exchanged personal vows and married in front of a mix of their families. It wasn’t a bride’s side and groom’s side, but rather one big family.
The evening reception had more pizazz. Everything was decorated in pinks and white. Their grand entrance had moving spotlights and their first dance was on a cloud of dry ice. The dance floor kicked off with Fabio’s special performance. I’ve had grooms sing a song in dedication to their brides on the wedding day. However, this was the first time I’ve seen a groom rap. Not something I was expecting. So glad I had my video team Powerpack Images with me to capture that moment as photos would not do them justice. They were also a huge help with crowd control as this was a big wedding.
