It’s becoming more common knowledge about how useful an engagement shoot can be as part of the wedding planning process. It’s not just about getting to know me as your photographer. It’s also my way of learning about you. What makes you smile? Do you have any physical traits you’re self conscious about? How much instruction do you need when it comes to posing? Are there any adjustments I need to make to my shooting/editing style before the main event. It’s essentially a trial run before your wedding day.
You get some practice being in front of the camera so you can be more relaxed on the wedding day. Guys learn the value of emptying their pockets. And many brides will coordinate their hair/makeup trial for the same time to see how it all photographs. After all, there’s a big difference between snapping selfies and having a professional pointing a camera at you. Having a little time in front of the lens before of the big event can be really useful.
Additional samples of my engagement photos are available on my Instagram. I also have more thorough samples available on my blog. If you are planning your wedding during COVID, be sure to check out the safety protocols I have in place in order to keep your session safe. And if you’d like to go fancier, I also offer bridal boudoir shoots. My full list of services and prices can be found here.
