Glenerin Inn
Here are the photos from Priscilla and Matt’s winter wedding Glenerin Inn. You might remember these two from their engagement shoot last summer. Their engagement shoot was at Glenerin Inn as well. What a difference between the two visits. Welcome to Canadian winter. This wedding was amid a full-on snowstorm. I was looking forward to walking around this venue again as the landscaping is beautiful. However, the intense weather limited our outdoor photos to ten minutes. It’s still amazing what you can do with a nice venue such little time. In my opinion, this is the hidden gem of Mississauga wedding venues. It has so much charm and elegance.
When I did their engagement shoot, I also met their son. Well officially, he was Priscilla’s son but I didn’t realize that until today. Matt had such a father dynamic with him, it only made sense. During the morning groom prep, the two of them got dressed together. They even shared the first look. The little boy took this role so seriously. He really wanted the surprise of seeing his mom in her wedding dress for the first time. It was absolutely adorable.
Ceremony
I was in love with this civil ceremony. The hall wasn’t decorated so all the natural architecture of the venue showed through. Priscilla walked down the aisle with her father while holding in her tears. However, when Matt recited his vows, those tears just wouldn’t stop. Matt actually had two sets of vows. The first showcased his devotion has a husband to his wife. The second set was for his new son. That one even had me getting teary-eyed. The wedding maintained its casual feel throughout the day. There were some spiritual readings, yet for the most part, it was casual and heartfelt. Later that evening after speeches, the three of them shared in a first dance.
The second shooter for this wedding was Michelle Paquot.
Aside from their engagement shoot, I’ll also be seeing Priscilla and Matt again when I photograph their daughter’s newborn session and extended family session.
