Glenerin Inn
Here are the photos from Melissa and Jason’s winter wedding Glenerin Inn. You might remember these two from their winter engagement shoot earlier this year. I photographed a wedding at Glenerin Inn last week during a winter snowstorm. This time around the snow is much more settled and easier to work around. In my opinion, this is the hidden gem of Mississauga wedding venues. It has so much charm and elegance.
When I did their engagement shoot, it was all denim jeans and plaid. So I figured their wedding would have a casual feel as well. And it did… for the couple. This was very much a family constructed affair. While the bride was peacefully getting her makeup done, the elves were busy working. I personally love DIY weddings though I find brides end up micromanaging everything and never get a chance to enjoy themselves. So it is nice to see a family who does legitimately help out during the day instead of adding to the stress of it.
Ceremony
I was in love with the frosted blue dresses the bridesmaids wore. The same colour resonated through the wedding decor including their centrepieces, sweetheart table, and ceremony alter. The reception room wowed guests with tall floral centrepieces adorned each table. Before entering the reception, guests could listen to a lovely harpist skilled in contemporary love ballads.
The wedding was a simple civil ceremony. Despite the Italian family, this wedding maintained its casual feel throughout the day. There were some spiritual readings, yet for the most part it was casual and heartfelt.
Later that evening after speeches, dancing of epic proportions commenced in the ballroom. It started with a sweet father-daughter dance ending when the father handing the bride off to her new husband. The bride and groom took the party from there. To our surprise, it seemed that every guest was singing at the top of their lungs when a certain song came on. A midst all the amazing dancing going on these two worked their way through the crowds of well-wishers making a point to greeting everyone. The perfect romantic end to a fantastic wedding.
Aside from the wedding and engagement shoot, I also did their Christmas family photos when their baby girl arrived.
