Wedding at the Globe and Mail Centre
Arlene and Dennis’s wedding venue were such a striking contrast of traditional and trendy, so I was very excited to document the wedding day for both photo and video.The couple got ready at the trendy urban venue, The Globe And Mail Centre, in Downtown Toronto, which boasts the city’s panoramic views and stunning lake views. The ceremony was performed onsite with the skyline as their backdrop.
The couple got ready at The Globe And Mail Centre. Dennis’s suit and tie were stylish, and Arlene’s dress featured a gorgeous lace bodice and skirt. She carried a bouquet bouquet of red, pink, white florals. They had a first look and impressed each other with how great they looked. We completed all their key portraits out on the balcony before heading inside to greet guests arriving for the civic ceremony.
Ceremony/Reception
It was a very hot day so majority of the events and mingling remained indoors beside the bar. The reception was kept pretty simple. A first dance at the entrance and a few speeches. This was an elderly crowd, so the event did close off pretty early.
Hybrid Package
This is a relatively new service I offer. While many shooters in this industry can transition between photo and video… there are very few who can provide both simultaneously by themselves. It originally started out as an option for couples dealing with Covid guest count restrictions. By having a single photographer who could provide video as well, it opened up the opportunity to invite an additional guest. However this service has decided to stick around long past Covid simply for its convenience. Utilizing video on tripods, I am able to remain free to continue photographing the event as per usual.
