Holland Marsh Wineries
As a wedding photographer, I’m lucky to witness so many love stories, but Elan & Ryan’s day at Holland Marsh Wineries felt especially meaningful from start to finish. The venue was beautiful.
Both Elan and Ryan chose to get ready on site, tucked into separate corners of the venue, building quiet anticipation throughout the morning. Even though they were just steps apart, they didn’t see each other until their first look. And that moment was worth the wait. When they finally met, time seemed to slow. Laughter, deep breaths, and a few happy tears set the tone for the rest of the day.
Rainy Day Fun
Before anything else, they exchanged vows in private. Photographing that intimate moment was incredibly moving. No crowd, no distractions. Just the two of them, speaking from the heart. It was one of those reminders of why I love what I do.
Rain made its presence known, but it never dampened the spirit of the day. We wandered the vineyard grounds at Holland Marsh Wineries for couple and bridal party photos, embracing umbrellas, soft light, and the romantic mood only rain can create. The vines, rustic buildings, and misty skies gave their photos a timeless, cinematic feel.
To ensure comfort for their elderly guests, the civil ceremony was moved indoors to the main Holland Marsh Wineries building. A thoughtful choice that reflected their care for the people they love. The indoor space felt warm and inviting as they officially said “I do,” surrounded by family and friends.
The evening flowed effortlessly into a reception filled with heartfelt speeches, laughter, and a packed dance floor. From quiet, emotional moments to full-on celebration, Elan & Ryan’s wedding was a joy to document. Proof that even rain can’t outshine a love like theirs.
