Konzelmann Estate Winery
This year has definitely been my busiest as a wedding photographer. Not just for the sheer size of some of my weddings, but also for the quantity. I honestly thought that elopements and micro weddings would slow down when covid restrictions loosened up. But here I am, photographing big weddings on the weekends, and having elopements take over my weekdays. But then I get couples who plan something perfectly in the middle. A small wedding with some big flair. Here’s to Shannon and Aaron’s cozy waterfront wedding at Konzelmann Estate Winery.
This little gem of a venue is tucked away in Niagara-on-the-Lake. Normally they don’t host wedding receptions. However this couple only had 16 guests so they could squeeze in anywhere.
Ceremony
These two had a small civil ceremony overlooking the Konzelmann Estate Winery waterfront. The legal paperwork was sorted earlier in the week so they could have a friend officiate the ceremony. The summer weather was absolutely perfect for it.
Afterwards, we did a few rounds of portraits with the family, bridal party, and couple. I say a few because when the couple gives me an hour and there are only 16 guests… I can take my time and photograph everyone thoroughly.
Reception
The reception was coordinated in a small tasting room downstairs at Konzelmann Estate Winery. And since the entire event had a casual feel, the fish & chips dinner menu worked quite well. The rest of the evening events was upstairs. They had a first dance, parent dances, and the ever fun bouquet/garter toss. They also had CUPCAKES. Normally I don’t get so excited over this, but the bride is a baker. So her dress, bouquet, shoes, and cake (obviously) was cupcake themed.
Hybrid Package
This is a relatively new service I offer. While many shooters in this industry can transition between photo and video… there are very few who can provide both simultaneously by themselves. It originally started out as an option for couples dealing with Covid guest count restrictions. By having a single photographer who could provide video as well, it opened up the opportunity to invite an additional guest. However this service has decided to stick around long past Covid simply for its convenience. By utilizing video cameras on tripods, I am able to remain continue photographing the event as per usual. Video coverage of this event is at the bottom of the page. It includes a full runthrough of the wedding ceremony and the scheduled highlights of the evening wedding reception. All speeches and vows are uncut so you remember every word
