Lionhead Golf and Country Club
Marie & Kevin’s wedding at Lionhead Golf and Country Club was such a beautiful and emotional day. The two were originally planning on having their ceremony outdoors on the golf course. However, winter weather forced them to relocate to a more sheltered location. The groom with his usual wit and good humor cracked a couple of jokes to lighten the mood of an otherwise serious event. But that’s exactly who these two are as a couple. They get the job done without taking themselves too seriously. And Lionhead Golf and Country Club offered the perfect setting for this ceremony that made them husband and wife.
This was my first time photographing a Lionhead Golf and Country Club wedding but I was really impressed by the beautiful settings that were available to us to use. During this time I encourage my couples to relax and take a few minutes to really be in the moment. I give them some space and capture their quiet moments intimately. Since we had freezing temperatures, the goal was to capture those moments pretty quickly.
Ceremony
The ceremony was inside the venue under a floral decorated fireplace. The decor for this event was on point thanks to Raven Blooms. The civil ceremony was beautiful and romantic. And their exit was accompanied by a farewell kiss for their guests. The reception was red and fully in theme for this Valentines Day wedding.
After their ceremony, we moved on to the family photos. Since their group was pretty large, we took care of all these photos in the beautifully decorated reception hall. It was a roudy crowd and I wanted to make sure they would have a chance to enjoy cocktail hour. Once sorted, we headed in for the reception.
Party Time
Fast forward to their reception and man was it a blast. Opening up with a first dance with smoke effects. They had some speeches, and incorporated table toasts from the groom’s side of the family. It displayed this couple’s playful personalities while still showing their immense love for each other. The rest of the night was one big party, and finished of with a sparkler exit. Thank you so much, Marie & Kevin, for entrusting me to capture such an important day in your lives together. It means the world to me.
