Markham Convention Centre
Markham Convention Centre is one of Toronto’s most luxurious yet affordable banquet halls and reception venues. It provides a perfect setting to host weddings. The breathtaking wedding and party hall decorations is their trademark. Whenever I photograph a wedding there, it looks completely different. In this case, it was completely decked out for a South Asian wedding. The setup included a colourful draped sweetheart table, candelabra centrepieces, and a beautiful four layer wedding cake to match.
The golden french stairwell is a fantastic backdrop for indoor portraits. Undoubtedly why this couple used the stairs for the extended family photos and their couple portraits. Though the highlight was their first look as the bride slowly walked down to her husband at the bottom. The smile on his face is epic.
Milken Park
This is my first time experimenting with Milken Park. We were looking for a location close to the hotel where they were getting ready that would be free to use. Hence I found this location through a Google search. The fact that this park didn’t require a permit is surprising. It was huge, private, and had so much color on this sunny summer day.
Oh man, this is one of my favourite weddings to date. It had such a great energy from the guests and the final results are amazing. I will definitely be submitting this set to some publications to see how far it will go. This is my first event introducing in-house video as an add-on. So be sure to check out their reception video at the bottom of this post. It includes all the scheduled highlights of their evening reception. As well as a special performance from the bride’s mom.
Their Hindu wedding ceremony happened earlier in the week. I also photographed their engagement shoot, and Christmas mini session.
