Masonic Centre of Elgin
Carline and Peter’s wedding day felt quietly meaningful. Unhurried, sincere, and full of heart. They chose to get ready separately in their respective homes, each space reflecting who they are. The bride’s home was calm and light-filled, with gentle laughter as she prepared, while Peter’s was warm and grounded, marked by thoughtful moments as he adjusted his jacket and reflected on the day ahead.
We gathered with their bridal party at Pinafore Park for portraits, and the setting could not have been more fitting. Surrounded by greenery, the session felt relaxed and natural. Carline and Peter moved together with an ease that only comes from years of shared life. There was no need for direction. Just quiet glances, soft smiles, and the kind of connection that speaks volumes. Their bridal party brought warmth and humor, making the time together feel more like a joyful walk with friends than a formal photo session.
Ceremony/Reception
The ceremony took place at the Masonic Centre of Elgin and was a simple civil ceremony, intentionally understated and deeply touching. As an elderly couple, they brought a sense of depth and intention to every moment. Their vows carried weight, shaped by experience, patience, and enduring love.
Following the ceremony, the reception unfolded into an evening filled with heartfelt speeches and plenty of dancing. Stories were shared, laughter echoed through the room, and the dance floor stayed lively. Photographing their day was a reminder that love is timeless, and that the most meaningful celebrations are often the simplest ones, rooted in authenticity and joy.
Photo/Video
This is a relatively new service I offer. I officially have an in-house videographer to give you full coverage of your wedding day. So while I am photographing your event, he is able to capture everything on video as well. This package includes the highlight reel, a full run through of the wedding ceremony and the scheduled highlights of the evening wedding reception. All speeches and vows are uncut so you remember every word.
The video coverage highlight reel of this event can be seen here.
