Old Mill Toronto Wedding
Here’s to a family friendly wedding at Old Mill Toronto. Holy moly you guys, these two were so freakin awesome to shoot. Thank you Taisha and Shane for being so epic and crazy fun. I loved hanging out with these two beautiful people and their son and getting to capture their wedding photos because they were so cool. Most couples would be freaking out with key family members being late. I know I was. However, these two totally embraced it. They booked me for this wedding at Old Mill Toronto a couple years back, but one their close friends decided to offer my services as a wedding present and upgrade their package. So they had me, a second shooter, a photo booth, and some video services as well.
I was so happy photographing this intimate wedding. The Old Mill has tons of unique spots for photo ops. If you’re looking for a romantic, moody, and elegant wedding venue in Toronto, this spot checks all the boxes. Right when you turn into the property you’ll feel as if you’ve stepped into a timeless European town. It has beautiful backdrops wherever you look. Including pretty lookout spots around the outdoor courtyard and stunning chandelier lit hallways indoors.
Chapel Ceremony
You’d think with the all the rescheduling, this couple would have gone a bit insane. But quite honestly they still ended up being my most relaxed couple going through all this. Lucky for us the Old Mill Toronto provided a few options based on whatever the circumstances of the time might be. The ceremony was in the Old Mill Toronto chapel. With the overcast outside, this chapel was on the darker side. But since I knew what to expect, I made a point of bringing my own lighting for the event.
From there, we took the whole family and bridal party outdoors for photos. Yes there was pending rain but we were able to squeeze all the major photos in before the drizzle began.
Old Mill Toronto Reception
From the moment I met this couple planning their wedding, they seemed so relaxed and casual about the entire experience. And with all this planning and replanning, I’d expect anyone to turn into a bridezilla. In fact, there was one walking around the venue earlier that day. But these two were amazing. The stress of wedding planning was reflected on with good humour. It all became part of the experience.
The second shooter for this wedding was Azita Ziaei.
