Paletta Mansion
Lindsey and Shawn’s gorgeous winter wedding at Paletta Mansion in Burlington was a dream. Their wedding style was sleek modern and the Paletta Mansion was the most perfect venue for their special day. I absolutely loved Lindsey’s choice of pastel blues as the color palette. It was in the bridal bouquets, the bridesmaids’ dresses, and all the decor. So essentially it gave the entire wedding a frosted feel.
I first met this couple through Natalia & Josh. If you follow my blog, you’ve probably seen their name pop up a lot. I photographed their wedding a few years ago. Ever since they’ve been referring business to me with their circle of friends who are all amazing.

This particular wedding was no different. Both the couple and the bridal party were so much fun to work with. Everyone was kissing the groom’s head for good luck. The bridesmaids were super theatrical in all their duties. And even when the sun was giving me some on/off issues, they tried everything to make it work. There are just so many bloopers and behind the scenes shots that turned into my favorite captures for this wedding.
Reception
The evening festivities were split between the two floors of Paletta Mansion. Dinner and speeches were upstairs while all the dancing was downstairs. With a bridal party like this, the speeches were very entertaining. This couple used colored chocolate Hershey kisses for their kissing game. Though I’m pretty sure they rigged it considering how many guests made failed attempts of pulling a blue one. Luckily it was a very win-win situation. If you got a blue, the couple kissed. But if you didn’t, you got to kiss your date. And in both cases, you got chocolate. I love games like this because it develops a lot of interest. The games that are more humiliating often get forgotten about throughout the night. Plus it seems the chocolate gave everyone a bit of a sugar rush by the time the dance floor opened. That always makes for some great photos.
