Pillar and Post Wedding
The Pillar & Post is a remarkable wedding venue that is located in the heart of Niagara-on-the-Lake. If you’re thinking of having your wedding there, we want to encourage you that we think you will love it. They offer everything you need for a wedding day. This way you don’t need to go anywhere else. What is also nice is that Pillar & Post has ample parking & valet service so that your guests don’t need to walk far to arrive at your wedding. This is especially great for families with young children or grandparents who may not be able to stand for long periods of time.
It truly is an all inclusive hotel for weddings. Ayushmas and Wade had every element of their wedding here. From morning prep, to portrait session, to ceremony, and finally reception.
Morning Prep
The bride and bridesmaids got ready in the Pillar & Post Simcoe Room. Beautifully lit with tons of space. Additionally, the brick walls did add a vintage vibe to the space. Which worked beautifully with the bride’s dress that was custom designed from Nepal. The groom got ready in the Chicago room that included all the amenities of your classic man cave. He luckily got to relax until the last 30min when we did his photos. So most of his morning involved organizing last minute details with his groomsmen.
Ceremony/Reception
The civil ceremony was alongside a pond in the Pillar & Post Ceremony Gardens. The bride was able to pull right up the aisle in a Rolls Royce. Talk about making a statement. We did do some of their portraits before the ceremony. But with everything running so well ahead of schedule, we were able to squeeze in some bonus photos around the gardens.
The reception was when everyone could finally kick back and party. I was very impressed with this bridal party. Despite being a big group, they made a point to stay sober and focused throughout the day. So once the reception began, I’m glad everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Even the parents of the bride and groom could finally destress and soak in the experience.
