Renaissance by the Creek
Finding the perfect venue like the Renaissance by the Creek is hard these days. Couples want that fairytale wedding and these two were no exception. Megan and Danny married this past October at Renaissance by the Creek. It was my busiest weekend of the year. The original plan was to photograph this wedding and take a redeye to Vermont to shoot a wedding there the next day. When the overnight flight canceled, I thought I was screwed. However, a bit of shuffling around with associate shooters and I was able to photograph the bulk of this day and drive 8hrs to Vermont after. So there is a point in the evening where I had to disappear and my associate shooters took over. You can’t really tell when that is since they did an amazing job.
Catholic Ceremony
With a great group and a very enthusiastic bride and groom it’s only natural that they had great images. The day was helped by a very well thought out wedding timeline. The first look happened at St Joseph’s Church as the bride walked down the aisle. As casual and fun these two were, that was their must-have. So deep down, they were pretty traditional. Their Catholic ceremony included vows, rings, and a full mass.
Afterward the entire bridal party joined them for fall photos at Kariya Park. Â It is a real gem in the heart of Mississauga for anyone looking for great wedding images. It is one of the more timeless locations that we love to photograph in and around. We captured many images of these two love birds before we headed off to Renaissance by the creek for the reception.
I stayed to help cover cocktail hour and setup all the eventing photography elements including their photo booth. The last thing I photographed was their first dance. However, it seems the real fun started after I left. Base on the party photos my associates captured, these two had one heck of a party.
The second shooter for this wedding was Michelle Paquot. Nick Kelleher helped out for the evening reception and party.
