Roma’s Hospitality Centre
Roma’s Hospitality Centre is one of Mississauga’s most luxurious banquet halls. It provides a perfect setting to host weddings. The breathtaking weddings and party hall decorations are their trademarks. Whenever I photograph a wedding there, it looks completely different. In this case, the venue was completely decked out for a Jamaica and Trinidad fusion wedding.
I fell in love with this couple during our initial meeting earlier this year. They had a fun energy about them. And that same energy was amplified with their family and bridal party involved. So there was no chance that a windy summer wedding day was going to ruin their experience. Even if the bride’s veil did swallow her groom.
Ceremony
The Christian wedding ceremony at Kennedy Road Tabernacle was my favorite part of the entire day. This venue really freaked me out when I saw photos online. It’s a very dark hall that seems to utilize coloured lighting a lot. My couple gave me a heads up about the situation so I could properly prepare. Even the hall’s coordinator was incredibly helpful by adjusting the blue lighting for me. Most churches won’t do this. So when this once was willing to adjust things in order to make the couple happy, I was thrilled. The ceremony was super sweet. Tenisha and Novelle both had the biggest smile on their face. And the ceremony ended with one giant family photo.
Reception
After the portrait session at Chinguacousy Park, everyone headed to Roma’s Hospitality Centre for the reception. The hall’s decor included a head table, floral centerpieces, and a beautiful three-tier wedding cake to match. Everything was a warm neutral beige and gold. Their party favours were faux vinyl cds. It was the soundtrack of their love story. They were played throughout the evening either in the grand entrance, first dance, or during the grand dance party afterward.
The second shooter for this wedding was Michelle Paquot.
I also photographed this couple’s family session when their son arrived.
