Royal Botanical Gardens
The Royal Botanical Gardens is by far my favorite wedding venue to work out of. I’ve been a recommended vendor with them for a few years now. I’m fully familiar with their six ceremony sites and four reception halls. However my favorite feature of theirs is the indoor Mediterranian Garden. It is a multi-room year-round greenhouse. I make a point of incorporating it into my couple’s wedding day each time. It doesn’t matter if the weather is beautiful, rainy, or freezing cold. This location is perfect every time. It also changes with each season. For example, during the holiday season, a Christmas train set runs through the trees adding a fresh festive element.
While most venues charge a fortune for professional photo permits, the RBG includes it in their package. So if you book your ceremony or reception with them, the Mediterranian Garden and Hendrie Park come with it. They have additional gardens you can add on as well based on how fancy you want to be. However this is one of the few venues I know that will blow you away even with their most basic package.
Not Just a Team of One
When Rebecca and Michael first got ahold of me, I was super excited to be a part of their autumn wedding. It was a South Asian and Trinidad fusion wedding. Unfortunately, I was unavailable for the day. Outsourcing a wedding photographer is not something I often do. I prefer to capture all my weddings firsthand in some way. However, sometimes I do make exceptions. So glad I had an associate photographer available to take my place. This wedding is more in dedication to Max Wong. He’s a photographer who has worked with me for the last couple of years. As such, he has produced some amazing work. He is officially starting his own wedding photography venture and I couldn’t be prouder. So this will actually be the last wedding he will likely photograph for me. But what a way to go. It’s beautiful. Thanks for all your hard work.
Max Wong photographed all the photos in this wedding, while I completed the editing. If this service is something you’re interested in, do let me know. There are only so many weekend dates available in the prime wedding season. So if I’m already booked, I always have an amazing team available. You still get to utilize me in the preplanning of your wedding day. I’ll still be your primary contact throughout the entire process. I’ll even be the one sorting out contracts, payments, editing, and delivery.
However, trusted associates photograph the actual wedding day. They have all been working with me for a few years now and are familiar with my shooting style. So if you like my wedding photography style of shooting, they are the next best thing. Samples of their work can be found on my Blog under the Second Shooter dropdown menu.
The primary shooter for this wedding was Max Wong.
