The Hare Wine Co.
The Hare Wine Co. is a gem in Niagara. It serves as a great backdrop for Kate & Hani’s elopement. Now traditionally, I would have photographed this wedding myself but was already booked for the day. And in most cases, that would just be the end of it. But this was a special situation. See I photographed this bride during her first wedding 8 years ago. And while that relationship didn’t work out, ours did. So when she came to me in request to capture her upcoming wedding, I wanted to help even if I wasn’t available that day. So this was photographed by one of my associates and I followed through with the editing and delivery. This was her first time doing wedding portraits at The Hare Wine Co. And what a beautiful day to do it.
These two had a small private event with just close family members and loved ones. The venue provided a beautiful archway surrounded by a vineyard. The purpose was to simply document this simple story as it happened. So essentially it was an engagement shoot with a wedding dress and the family in toe. This session was only 4 hours. However, since it was such a small group, she able to explore a good chunk of The Hare Wine Co. without delays.
Have you ever dreamt of trees slowly caressing the wind through streams of sunlight? If so, then you might have been picturing an exact scene from this wedding day. The weather report did originally predict rain and as such, she came over prepared. Yet the rain only effected my wedding in Toronto, not this one. For this couple, it was so hot. Like brutally hot. Any spot of shade she could find was utilized for photos. And with so many of their family members being older, she sorted through their photos pretty quick in order to give them a well deserved break.
I definitely recommend that my couples choose locations that are near and dear to them for their photos. Photos in these special spots will hold such a special place in your heart and will be a great story to tell your grandkids 50 years down the road. These two choose the beautiful grounds of The Hare Wine Co. as the sight of their wedding photos due to their love of wine.
Needless to say, the day had so much love. I am so honoured that I got to share the big day with this sweet couple even if I didn’t get to be there personally. I am also just as excited to share their dreamy summer wedding photos with you all. Thank you.
