The Lake House
Trisha and Justin had a small outdoor ceremony at The Lake House this summer. They are the sweetest people and I was so honoured to be the special person to shoot their wedding. What makes their wedding day extra special was sharing it with their young son who is now old enough to be a ring boy without crying. He was super cute and mischievous. My second shooter had a lot of fun tailing him throughout the day.
Trisha and Justin spent many of their weekends prior to the wedding making DIY items for their big day. From their invitations to the bouquets. Everything was handmade with love and just so beautiful. All the little details came together like puzzle pieces. However, on the wedding day itself, the bridesmaids to care of it all. They didn’t even allow Trisha to have her first look until everything was perfect.
Ceremony
The couple planned for a civil ceremony along the waterfront of The Lake House. The problem was, there was a rain scare that relocated everything to the venue’s outdoor balcony. The rain never came but it did provide a fantastic breeze on this otherwise warm day. The venue was absolutely stunning, as it sat on Lake Ontario. Of course, I would have loved to take full advantage of a marina sunset, but it never happened. Instead, we were entertained by well meaningful speeches at the reception and their son playing hide and seek.
I must say, I was so lucky to have such co-operative and easy-going clients. They were an absolute pleasure to photograph. Both Trisha and Justin look amazing. I wish you both all the best in your marriage. Here is a sneak peek into their wedding day.
The second shooter for this wedding was Nick Kelleher.
