Universal EventSpace
Universal Eventspace is the newest venue from byPeterandPauls.com. Like many other all-inclusive venues, you can host your ceremony and reception in one space. They complement their space with top-notch wedding assistance and catering. Because the venue is relatively new, you’ll get all of the modern amenities that you need. What makes Universal Eventspace stand out is by far its size. They have over 85,000 square feet of space and 6 event rooms. This means you can have “smaller” weddings of 300 guests, or a lot more with the maximum capacity of around 3000 people.
Granted this was an Italian wedding, but since the couple was paying for everything themselves, they did go significantly smaller. The day began with morning prep at a nearby hotel, the Element Vaughan Southwest. The bridal party dressed in beautiful navy blue floor-length gowns. The bride was stunning in a sleeveless lace bridal gown with the beautifully designed terrain. And let’s not forget the jeweled tiara. http://photographybyshivani.com/universal-eventspace-italian-wedding
Portrait Session
Reception
The hall at Universal Eventspace was decorated with a Christmas motif. Yeah I know, it’s still a bit early for Christmas weddings. But there is no denying the holiday sparkle. From frosted pumpkin centerpieces to ornament decor. The food was pretty epic as well. For an Italian wedding, this is often the key feature. The food and drinks are what guests remember the most. However, the thing I remember the most was bouquet toss. I thought it would be fun to toss it over the stairwell to all the single ladies below. However, the throw went a bit high and broke the ceiling light fixture. If felt so bad for the suggestion that I contacted the venue manager and paid for damages myself before he billed the couple. I’ve seen bouquets get stuff in light fixtures but never break them. Lesson learned.
Despite my heart-stopping blunder, this Italian family has claimed me as their own. I’ve photographed the baptisms of their two beautiful daughters (Francesca’s Baptism and Victoria’s Baptism). I also did Victoria’s newborn session. And Amanda’s brother will be using me for his daughter’s baptism and newborn session as well. Their entire family is amazing and I’m so glad I get to hang out with them as much as I do.
