Verdi Convention Centre
Verdi Convention Centre hosted a beautiful wedding for Lisa and Sheldon. Today I’m excited to share photos from their magical day. Last you saw these two, I was showcasing some of my favourite images from their stunning winter engagement shoot at the Guild Inn Gardens. Not much has changed since that engagement shoot considering it only happened a few weeks ago. If you haven’t had a chance to check those out, be sure to make your way to that post as well!
For their wedding celebration, they chose to have their wedding ceremony at Verdi Convention Centre in Mississauga. Which is very quickly becoming one of our favourite wedding venues in the Greater Toronto Area. We started early in the morning with the girls as they got ready in the bride’s family basement. We then proceeded to the hall where everyone was busy setting up for the Hindu Ceremony. It was a beautiful ceremony, followed by formal group photos with our newlyweds, their families, and their wedding party.
Humber Arboretum
Once they were able to break away, the bride and groom headed to a nearby hotel for a costume change. They had a short and sweet first look at the hotel to showcase their new looks. Eventually, they brought their bridal party to the Humber Arboretum for some fun more relaxed wedding photos. Last time I was here was for a summer engagement shoot. This time of year it was more neutral and beige which complimented the bridesmaids’ dresses of a similar tone.
When we finished with those we headed to the Verdi Convention Centre for a simple Muslim Wedding Ceremony with close families. And finally, we were into full reception mode. This was the first time all day I was really able to sit down and eat something. There were flowers almost everywhere you looked which is pretty customary with South Asian Weddings. And these two had put so much thought into every aspect of the evening. The celebrations lasted late into the night.
This was my last wedding of the year. And what a way to end off the season. Huge families. Even a bigger celebration. How they crammed everything into one day I will never know. But they seemed to thoroughly enjoy the festivities no matter how stressful the day may have been.
