WEDDING VENUE LIST

One of the first questions I get asked by my clients is if I have shot at their particular wedding venue before. 90% of the time the answer is “Yes”. Over these last few years in the wedding industry, I have shot at a variety of venues throughout the GTA. A wedding venue can come in all shapes, sizes, and lighting conditions.

The biggest determining factor for me, as a wedding photographer, is the venue’s lighting, not its size or style. That is why, when asked the question for venue choices, I would recommend paying attention to the “lighting” in addition to its capacity and aesthetics. Whether you’re looking for a waterfront ceremony, a trendy bar-restaurant, or a sunny backyard, there are pros and cons to consider for each.

As far as recommendations go, I have my favorite wedding venues featured on my blog. They’ll give you a breakdown on all the photo related details you’ll need to know for planning a wedding there as well as sample albums to browse through.

The list below is more a compilation of all the wedding venues I have worked at in the past. So if you are curious as to my experience with the wedding venue you booked; this is a good place to start. Follow any of the wedding venue links below to see sample albums from that location. It is far more detailed than anything you’ll find on my portfolio page or Instagram feed.

If you are looking for inspiration on possible wedding venues, the Color Key breaks down my list based on the type of wedding venue it is. So for example, if you’re looking for a Banquet Halls or Convention Centre that can handle your extensive guest list, they are shown in orange. If you’d prefer a more intimate location for your country themed wedding, those are in royal blue.

Alternatively, if you don’t see your venue listed here at all, don’t worry. I pride myself on my ability to shoot in any wedding venue. Chances are I’ve worked with a venue that has a similar setup to yours. So be sure to include the name of yours in your initial inquiry and I can send you some samples to look at.
